- Wrap tape completely around pipe or cut into individual markers
- Self adhesive vinyl labels
- Legends alternate so arrows can point in either direction
- Markers' adhesive has been formulated with an extra heavy coating to ensure adhesion to a variety of different pipe and insulation surfaces.
- Available in 2 sizes (Small & Large), use
- Small Rolls (8" x 30 feet long) on pipes 3/4" to 2-1/4" O.D.
- Large Rolls (12" x 30 feet long) on pipes 2-1/2" to 7-7/8" O.D.
- Small Rolls contain 240 markers and arrows
- Large Rolls contain 144 markers and arrows
- Durability: 4 to 5 years Mid Continental US
- Service Temp: -20°F (-29°C) to 200°F (93°C)
- Minimum Application Temp: 50° F (10° C)
- Surface Prep: Clean & Dry
- Compliance: ASME & ANSI A13.1
Marker Size, Letter Height and Maximum Characters per Marker
The following chart shows the recommended pipe marker letter height and marker size based on the outside pipe diameter of the pipe to be identified. For pipes smaller than 3/4" and for valve identification, the use of a permanent legible tag is recommended.
Pipe O.D. | Text & Arrow Height | Marker Size | Qty of Legends & Arrows | Marker Style | Maximum Characters |
3/4" to 2-1/4" | 3/4" | 8" wide | 240 | Small Roll | 18 |
2-1/2" to 7-7/8" | 1-1/4" | 12" wide | 144 | Large Roll | 18 |

Small Roll
For pipe O.D. of 3/4" to 2-1/4"
Legend Size: 3/4" High

Large Roll
For pipe O.D. of 2-1/2" to 7-7/8"
Legend Size: 1-1/4" High
Colors:
The secondary means of identification is the color code of the marker. The exact colors are contained in the ANSI Z535.1 Safety Color Code.
Color is the secondary means to identification but many times the most important. The color of the marker should be used to identify the characteristic hazard of the contents of the pipe. The following chart list the classifications shown by ANSI / ASME A13.1 2015 as the suggested color combinations for the pipe markers.
