      Product Information

Soil Markers are a reliable and effective solution for identifying any type of underground utility. Designed to serve as either a permanent or temporary marker, they clearly indicate the presence of buried infrastructure, helping to prevent damage during excavation or maintenance activities.

These low-profile markers are installed flush with the ground surface, making them an excellent choice for high-traffic or manicured areas such as parks, campuses, and residential zones.

      Installation
Installing Soil Markers is quick, simple, and requires no specialized equipment. Each marker is designed for a flush, low-profile finish that blends seamlessly into any environment while maintaining high visibility.

      Installation Steps:

      1. Select the location directly above or near the underground utility line to be identified.
      2. Prepare the area by removing debris or turf to ensure a flat, even surface.
      3. Insert the marker stake (for both 4" and 7" round models) securely into the ground until the disk sits flush with the surface.
      4. Compact the surrounding soil to ensure stability and prevent movement.

      APWA Utility Color Code

To avoid confusion, the American Public Works Association (APWA) developed a Uniform Color Code used nationwide for utility markings. This standardized color system means that each color corresponds to a specific type of utility. Whether markings are paint, flags, or permanent posts, the colors stay consistent so everyone knows what buried lines are present.
